Artist

Max Barskih is a Ukrainian singer and songwriter. He won the award for Best Ukrainian Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2010 and the MUZ-TV award in the “Breakthrough of the Year” category (2012), and he was the most played artist on radio in Ukraine in 2011.

Max Barskih’s debut on the big stage took place in 2008. Thanks to his early hits, he became known throughout Ukraine, and by 2010, the singer’s popularity had spread to Russia, Kazakhstan, and the Baltics.

People are like chewing gum: the taste fades quickly. The aftertaste is always different. Some are very hard to scrape off the sole of your shoe.

Max Barskih writes the music and lyrics he performs. He is one of the few pop stars in Ukraine who creates quality music with an ultra-modern sound, and his music videos such as “Agony”, “Lost In Love | I’m Losing You”, “Heart Beats”, “Z.Dance” meet global standards for music videos.

The young performer already has experience working with European stars. In 2010, the singer starred in the project “Mademoiselle Zhivago” with Franco-Canadian star Lara Fabian.

In February 2012, the artist presented his grand project – a horror-musical “Z.Dance” – in Ukraine, Russia, the Baltics, Georgia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. It consists of four new singles and one cover of Michael Jackson’s legendary hit “Thriller.” The musical is performed in a popular zombie style.

In 2013, the single “I Am Sick of You / I Wanna Run” became the soundtrack for a PEPSI commercial.

Reality is a continuous black-and-white movie, with breaks for color commercials. Advertisements that suggest you buy a small memory in your short-term memory. Over time, it fades.

It’s worth noting that 2013 marked a new phase in the singer and songwriter’s career. At the YUNA awards ceremony, which brought together the cream of the domestic music business, the performer presented his new track “PO FREYDU” – drastically different from all his previous work. Essentially, “PO FREYDU” is the artist’s life diary, reflecting his expectations, hopes, and emotions, marking his 23rd year in 2013.
Each song is a personal story that the artist only now decided to share. The album includes tracks written by Max Barskih at different times. The artist’s growth and changing worldview are already reflected in the video sequence, traditionally directed by Alan Badoev, Max Barskih’s producer. For each song in the new collection, the director prepared a music video, which is why the “PO FREYDU” format is referred to as a video album – the first in the artist’s career.

eing in the body of a human is very boring, I would like to explore more, feel more, see more, experience more.

What is the most important thing in life? Probably time. Everything is temporary: love, fame, sensations, happiness… These are just seconds that begin counting down from the moment they end.

I never know how my song will end. I start writing and don’t understand where the next line will lead me.
